"Balance between indoor and outdoor spaces"
The Dufour 48 Catamarans features a perfect balance between the deck layout, cockpit space, roof, and foredeck divided for 1/3 of the total length.
The wide portion of the roof sets it apart from other models in its category and provides the impression of a very spacious living area. Indeed, it is a testament to a well-balanced design in terms of outdoor and indoor spaces, developed to offer maximum comfort in all seasons.
In the front section, there are two exceptional sunbathing areas, separated by a spacious storage box and the anchor well.
"Technical and visionary capabilities, have given birth to an innovative project, in line with distinctive symbols of the Dufour style."
CAT48 – the new benchmark in the world of catamarans by Felci Yacht
With a partnership that began in 2002, the shipyard couldn’t move forward without the talent of Umberto Felci and Lorenzo Giovannozzi, who design the lines of the first Dufour Catamaran.
Renowned for their technical and visionary capabilities, they have been able to present a modern, elegant, and innovative project, in line with the distinctive symbols of Dufour style.
Designed for the owner who wants to live on board all year round. The Dufour Catamarans 48 offers a truly spacious and sociable living area. The kitchen, connected to the cockpit, is perfectly equipped and ergonomic. With its numerous compartments, it allows for adequate storage capacity on board.
In the forward section, the chart table is equipped with a repeater screen and an autopilot control with a joystick, allowing for boat control from the inside.
The dinette, which can be adjusted in 3 positions – low table, dining table, double bed – with the seats cleverly stored in the central furniture to maintain a cleaner space. The large 360° sea-facing window ensures ample light and ventilation. The lockers are numerous and well-designed, with drawers to accommodate every need.
The option to customize the wood finishes is available in three variants.
The Dufour 48 Catamarans’ flybridge is a key feature of this design. Elaborated as a second cockpit, it significantly expands the outdoor living space.
The traffic flow is ideal with access from two staircases: through the starboard cockpit and the port side walkways.
The Dufour 48 features 124 m2 of sail area upwind, with 72 m2 for the mainsail and 42 m2 for the jib. This combination makes it easy to control in any situation, even with a reduced crew. Moreover, the inclined boom, highly appreciated in Dufour monohulls, facilitates lowering and ensures the crew’s safety on the flybridge.
The external rope is optional to support a Code 0 or a gennaker.
