Fond\u00e9e en 1964 par Michel Dufour, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a son si\u00e8ge \u00e0 La Rochelle, en France. En 1964, il d\u00e9cide de lancer une nouvelle entreprise sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la production de voiliers transportables. Sa premi\u00e8re cr\u00e9ation, le Sylphe, conna\u00eet un succ\u00e8s imm\u00e9diat. Le bateau \u00e9tait l\u00e9ger et facile \u00e0 transporter, ce qui le rendait id\u00e9al pour les croisi\u00e8res int\u00e9rieures et c\u00f4ti\u00e8res.   <\/p>\n<p>Au cours des ann\u00e9es suivantes, Dufour continue d&rsquo;innover et d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer ses produits. En 1970, il fonde un bureau d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes pour d\u00e9velopper de nouveaux mod\u00e8les. La production s&rsquo;industrialise et l&rsquo;entreprise commence \u00e0 produire plus de 300 bateaux par an.
